Commercial Driver Training Programs
Class 2 Bus Licence
Qualify to operate buses and large passenger vehicles. Required for transit, charter, and school bus drivers.
Class 3 Straight Truck
Drive single-unit trucks over 11,794 kg. Essential for delivery, municipal, and industrial transport roles.
Class 4 Restricted
Operate taxis, ride-share vehicles, and small buses up to 25 passengers. Fast-track to a driving career.
Heavy Trailer Endorsement
Add the heavy trailer endorsement to your existing licence. Required for towing trailers over 4,600 kg.
Air Brake Endorsement
Mandatory for operating any vehicle equipped with air brakes. Theory and practical training included.

Safety and training has always been a passion of mine. I have witnessed many preventable incidents that have inspired me to teach. I look forward to working with those who have chosen to pursue this career path.
With the upcoming high demand in the oil and gas, construction, forestry, and mining sectors there will be a need for skilled drivers. My goal is to train and pass along the years of knowledge that many in this profession will require.

As an ICBC-approved driver training school, Ultimate West Coast Training is bound by the ICBC Code of Conduct for driver training. This code sets the standard for how Steve operates, how he teaches, and how he treats every student.
School Obligations
- Provide one-on-one driver training directly with Steve Mitchinson, ICBC-approved instructor — every student receives his dedicated, undivided attention.
- Maintain accurate and complete records of all driver training provided.
- Ensure all vehicles used for training meet ICBC safety and equipment standards.
- Deliver training in accordance with ICBC-approved curriculum and standards — with a goal to exceed provincial safety requirements.
- Not engage in any misleading advertising or misrepresentation of services.
- Treat every student with respect and professionalism at all times.
Student Obligations
- Arrive for all scheduled lessons on time and prepared to learn.
- Treat your instructor with respect and courtesy.
- Not operate a training vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any impairing substance.
- Follow all instructions given by Steve during training sessions.
- Provide accurate and truthful information when enrolling in a driver training program.
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations while participating in driver training.
